WHAT IS

CABRO MOM GROUP

Cabro Mom Group is a virtual group where followers can discuss popular topics from The Cabro in real time together. Catherine wants to bring the magic of what she experiences 1:1 with her followers in her daily DMs to a new virtual experience. It's The Cabro IRL.

Topics include self care, the concept of “the Good Enough mother," dual career families, boundaries at work and home, the seasonality of motherhood, productivity, and one open topic.

Typically, Catherine begins with an introduction to the topic and then the group spends about 45-60 minutes in group sharing time. Each week, there will also be time set aside for each mother to introduce herself to the group.

Additional benefits to Cabro Mom Group include: connecting mid-week via the private WhatsApp chat with your cohort and access to the private Cabro LinkedIn Group for networking with other followers. During Cabro Mom Group, you will be able to crowdsource solutions on the topics and connect with other like minded mothers in a small group setting.

Cabro Mom Group is a cohort of followers outside of Instagram who want community, conversation, and connection.

Brown

Founder of The cabro

Catherine founded The Cabro during the haze of maternity leave in late 2020 in an attempt to create what she could not find on the internet: a place for working mothers to see how another working mother gets it done. Over the last 3 years, her followers have found support through crowdsourced “how tos” that Catherine posts on Instagram. Encouraged by the comradery she experiences with her followers, she decided to bring this in a more intimate setting with her followers. Thus, The Cabro Mom Group was formed.

At work, Catherine is a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Azure AI at Microsoft, supporting go-to-market strategy for Azure responsible AI. She has an MBA from Cornell University and an MA in Counseling-Psychology. She enjoys supporting and mentoring other mothers and uses her dual master's degrees to coach women through their corporate roles as they look to make changes in their career and personal lives.

At home, she is a wife and mother to a 3-year-old boy and 1-year-old girl in Seattle, Washington.  She can be found on Instagram and LinkedIn.

She's excited to meet you in Mom Group.

"While I don’t believe we can have it all and do it all at the same time, we can be thoughtful about what we will prioritize in different seasons of our lives."

When will Mom Group be offered?

There will be two groups running concurrently with 12 members each. One group of 12 meets every Tuesday from April 9 through May 28 from 5:30 PST to 7:00 PST and the other group of 12 meets every Tuesday from April 9 through May 28 from 7:30 PST to 9:00 PST. There are two time slots to accommodate US time zones. Attendees will commit to one time slot for the duration of the weeks and cannot change groups once Cabro Mom Group starts. There will be no session on May 21. Meetings will be held on Teams. A digital invite will be sent to the email you provide during registration with information on how to join the meeting.

What happens if I miss a session?

Due to the nature of the conversations in Cabro Mom Group, sessions will not be recorded. Make-up sessions are not available at this time. While there will be two groups running on the same evenings, attendees will commit to one time slot for the duration of the weeks. Because of the personal nature of the conversations in Cabro Mom Group and the relationships formed within the group during the 7 weeks, attendees are not able to switch groups once Cabro Mom Group starts.

What are the benefits of Mom Group?

Each group will form it’s own chat group in WhatsApp that will give attendees access to each other in between sessions and after the group ends. Attendees may check in with each other and ask for support with the topics during the week. In addition, members will be given access to an invite-only LinkedIn group available for networking among engaged Cabro followers. Finally, you will have an opportunity to develop relationships with other Cabro followers and meet Catherine directly as she leads the group.

What can I expect during the sessions?

Typically, Catherine begins with an introduction to the weekly topic and then facilitates a group discussion where group members share their experience with the topic. Members can also ask each other for advice on the topic as well.  Catherine will wrap up the discussion after 1.5 hours. Each week, there will also be time set aside for each mother to introduce herself to the group.

What qualifications does Catherine have to lead Moms Group?

While this group is not a formal therapy group, Catherine has a master's degree in counseling-psychology. During her internship, she led group therapy that included didactic teachings on various therapy topics prior to group discussions. She has facilitated hundreds of meetings and trainings over the course of her career and has experience leading groups through challenging conversations. She is excited to bring this experience to Cabro Mom Group.

Do I have to be on camera for Cabro Mom Group?

For the benefit of others who are joining the calls and sharing their experiences, it is expected that attendees will be on camera during the call. However, it is understandable that situations may arise where an attendee needs to go off camera to address something for a few minutes.
